The unit arrived in perfect condition - shiny and clean, indistinguishable from a new unit.

Works superbly so far, and when I pointed out the original description of "1-year warranty" against the actual "90-day warranty" that comes with the unit, Amazon promised to cover the remaining 9-months period, effectively making good on the original description. (I'm keeping that email as a written proof...)

Cheaper by far than a new item and arrived in beautiful condition, and is working quite well. The outside of the oven does get quite hot, so might not be appropriate for households with young children. Its also a bit strange that the oven as fancy as it is does not have a timer function as a typical microwave does (good for timing cooling off of items).

A side note about remanufactured items -- my parents once worked for a Large American electronics & appliances firm (NOT Breville), my father in fact worked on a line that handled returned items. I can pass on from them that large manufacturing firms DO NOT put every item that is packaged to sell through any quality control (big surprise), it would be too expensive, at best they check a few items per lot. If there is a manufacturing problem with items due to defective parts or defective assembly, it usually doesn't get caught before the items go out for shipping (which can result in a large percentage of returned products). However, when defective items get returned, they usually (depends on the company) go through significant quality control checks and repair. So, remanufactured items are typically of higher quality and usually have a much smaller defect rate and are typically a very good value. I can't of course speak for the Breville line of products, but so far I am impressed with their oven.

This is my 2nd Toaster Oven by Breville that is remanufacturerd. The first one we bought 1yr ago and still works great, decided to get another one for our 2nd house. This one works great as well. No issues with these remanufactured toaster ovens.

Only issue I have is more design related (but Im not knocking a star off for this). The plug on this toaster oven is huge. Has this very large plastic molded portion around the plug with a hole to help you "pull" the plug out. Great, sounds great. But it causes the Toaster Oven to sit that much further away from the ball wall. Almost 3" away. Wish they made this more right angle or got rid of that large plastic molded piece and just made the plug a regular plug like every other kitchen appliance. Look at the picture section where I put up a picture showing the plug (and a dollar bill) to show how far it sits away from the wall now.
